Technology Collaboration Center

The Panasonic Digital Concepts Center (PDCC) established the Technology Collaboration facility in Silicon Valley to promote technology partnerships with early stage companies focused on embedded Linux based applications and middleware solutions for exciting new consumer electronics products. Companies selected to participate in the Technology Collaboration Center work toward the goal of partnering with Panasonic.

The Technology Collaboration Center provides early stage startups with the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with a global Fortune 100 company, a leader in consumer electronics.
• Benefit from access to Panasonic engineering and technology expertise.
• Generate revenue through customer and partner relationships with Panasonic in the U.S. and Japan.
• Access potential investment though Panasonic’s investment fund and network of venture firms.
• Expand their access to the Linux community in Silicon Valley and the West Coast focused on consumer electronic software for Linux.
• Obtain critical business building assistance and mentoring support from Panasonic to support the growth and success of their companies.
• Participate in industry programs supported by Panasonic and gain visibility into other Open Source trends on the West Coast.

In addition to offering services and office space to our startup partners, the Technology Collaboration Center also works with non-resident startups on an affiliate basis. Startups with compelling software solutions for Panasonic that currently have office space may still qualify to work with the PDCC Technology Collaboration Center.

Record

The Panasonic Digital Concepts Center has a proven record of assisting startup companies. PDCC has assisted more than twenty privately funded companies with co-development agreements and other partnering arrangements. Our new Technology Collaboration Center in San Jose is co-located with several Panasonic technology units and designed to facilitate interaction with product development engineers from the U.S. and Japan.
